There are two administration methods available for the Conners 4: online and paper-and-pencil. Both of these methods are accessed and scored online (meaning that access to a computer or other digital device is essential to manage administration of the assessment). Figure 1.1 outlines the various combinations of administration and scoring options. Please see chapters 2, Administration, and 3, Scoring and Reports, for additional information.

Conners 4 Administration and Scoring Options

Administration and scoring methods described in this manual are available through the MHS Online Assessment Center+. However, users who access the Conners 4 through integrations with North American and International partners, or who access the Conners 4 through electronic health records/management/student information systems, will be interacting with a non-MHS online administration portal. Refer to the portal provider’s documentation for information on administration and scoring of the Conners 4.

Online Administration and Scoring

The Conners 4 can be administered online via local or remote administration (see Administration Settings in chapter 2, Administration, for more information). All forms (full-length Conners 4, Conners 4–Short, and Conners 4–ADHD Index) are available for local or remote administration on any internet-enabled device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone).

  • Local administration allows a rater to complete the Conners 4 online while in the examiner’s office or waiting room.
  • Remote administration allows the examiner to email a link to the rater, who can then complete the Conners 4 online at their convenience.

Both local and remote administrations are automatically scored with results made available to the examiner through the MHS Online Assessment Center+.

Paper-and-Pencil Administration and Online Scoring

Examiners can print paper response forms from the MHS Online Assessment Center+. Once completed by the rater, responses are manually entered into the online portal for computerized scoring and reporting (see Scoring in chapter 3, Scoring and Reports, for detailed information).

Reports

Reports can be generated quickly and easily using online scoring. A new feature allows reports to be easily customized based on the assessor’s needs and preferences. This feature includes the ability to include or exclude sections and elements of the report, as well as offering various scoring options (see chapter 3, Scoring and Reports, for more information).

There are two report types available for all Conners 4 forms (for more information, see Reports in chapter 3, Scoring and Reports):

  • Single-Rater Report provides detailed results from a single administration.

  • Multi-Rater Report provides a comparison of scores from multiple raters (e.g., comparing ratings from the parent, teacher, and self-report).

Additional reports will be introduced over time to stay current with the ever-changing nature of the assessment and reporting environments in which our clients operate.
