Conners 4 ManualChapter 3: Scoring |
Scoring |
All the Conners 4 forms must be scored using the MHS Online Assessment Center+. If administered online, the Conners 4 is scored automatically and reports are generated online. If administered through paper-and-pencil, responses are entered into the MHS Online Assessment Center+ for automatic scoring and report generation. Online scoring offers the following benefits:
-
An optional double-entry feature to verify accuracy of data entry from paper-and-pencil administrations.
-
The immediate generation of reports when forms are completed online, or once responses are entered from a paper-and-pencil administration.
-
Reports that can be accessed/printed in multiple file formats (i.e., Single Rater report as PDF or Word; Multi-Rater report as PDF); sections of these files can be integrated (using copy and paste functions) into the assessor’s full evaluation report.
-
Optional scoring and report options which can be enabled or disabled according to the assessor’s needs (see Report Elements and Report and Scoring Options sections).
-
Protocols that can be rescored and reports that can be regenerated an unlimited number of times at no additional cost.
-
Records that are saved and stored for future access; these records can be searched for using various criteria (e.g., Name/ID, test type).
-
Accessibility from any device with internet access that meets online requirements (view online requirements for the MHS Online Assessment Center+ via the Help option on the home page).
Important Instructions for Scoring the Full-Length Conners 4. The full-length Conners 4 can be administered with all content included, or the highly-sensitive content (i.e., the Self-Harm Critical Items and/or the DSM Conduct Disorder Symptoms scale) can be disabled (see chapter 2, Administration, for details on disabling the sensitive content prior to test administration). If the sensitive content is disabled, these items are removed from the full-length Conners 4 forms, and thus, are not scored. This omission is done automatically for online administrations, and the assessor does not need to take any action. For paper-and-pencil administrations, a form code is included on the paper forms. This code indicates if all items are provided, or if one or both of the sensitive content areas are removed. In order to score a paper-and-pencil administration of the Conners 4, this code will need to be entered into the MHS Online Assessment Center+ along with the responses to the demographic questions and test items.
